Project Value: $18.6 Million
Completed Date: May 2012
Western Builders converted the old Linwood Cotton Mill, built in 1866, into what is now called Linwood Mills Apartments. The project was given a twelve month schedule, and WB successfully completed this project in nine months, within budget.
This project consisted of reconstructing one five-story structure and one three-story building at the rear of the property into 75 residential units boasting wonderful river views for an adult residential community over 55.
On the National Register of Historic Places, Linwood Mills Apartments overlook the Mumford River and the Linwood Pond with a waterfall that cascades down along the retail shops which presently occupy the ground level of the three-story building which hosts loft-style apartments above. (The retail shops were constructed as a convenience to the tenants.) The Linwood Mills apartments are comprised of studios along with one and two bedroom apartments.
