Williams college mission park cooler platform

Williamstown, MA

Western Builders was hired to make renovations and additions to the Mission Park Dormitory kitchen service area. The project included adding in a new cast-in-place concrete dock with footings and walls constructed for an exterior walk-in freezer and cooler. The area also featured exterior storage and recycling management areas. The metal-panel-enclosed dock included a ramp for deliveries and also housed a covered parking area and charging station for electric vehicles. The PVC built-up roof was supported by a steel deck roof which was held up by structural steel that matched and existing dock adjacent to this new one.

Despite working during the pandemic the project team was able to stick to the project schedule and to finish 7 days before the project due date. We would like to give recognition to Teresa Sawyer, Project Manager for Williams College, as she was on site day in and day out working with our team as a teammate and making quick decisions to keep the project moving and on schedule and ultimately a success.
