VentureWell

Hadley, MA

VentureWell, formerly known as the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance, offers financial support, training, and resources for early-stage innovators and entrepreneurs to create successful, socially beneficial businesses. When this private nonprofit organization needed a new, comfortable, and efficient corporate headquarters for their operations in Hadley, Massachusetts, Western Builders was brought in to bring their visions to reality.

Western Builders was approached by O’Connell Development Group and Kuhn Riddle Architects to provide construction management services for this project. The contract, a negotiated GMP (guaranteed maximum price), was established around a tight budget and aggressive schedule. This necessitated Western Builders to start construction well before completion of the design phase, working from conceptual documents.

The new 9,100 sq ft VentureWell headquarters features a sleek, modern interior with areas of exposed steel, HVAC ducting, and conduit. Large windows throughout create a bright, energizing environment and add to the efficiency of the building. The project was completed in August 2016, on schedule and within budget.
