A COLLABORATIVE APPROACH

Western’s business focus began with heavy timber and wood framed projects, and we continue in that tradition today. Recent examples include the multi-faceted conversion of the vacant historic Chapin Elementary School in Chicopee into single bedroom residences for veterans, and the transformation of the former Holyoke Catholic High School campus into affordable downtown housing. Our work in the academic arena includes educational and student housing facilities at Smith College, Deerfield Academy, Bay Path University, Elms College, and American International College. Western Builders has also constructed and remodeled libraries, supermarkets, banks, and a range of other establishments throughout Western Massachusetts, as well as in Eastern Massachusetts (including Cape Cod), Southern Connecticut, and the New Hampshire Lakes Region.

Working closely with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, Western Builders meticulously addresses all elements of the construction process, from constructability review and conceptual and subsequent estimating to material procurement and cost control to warranty and closeout administration. It is dedication to this model of collaboration that Western Builders attributes its track record of success in every one of our projects.
